Terms of Sale

Effective 5 September 2026 (supersedes the 26 August 2026 edition; clarifies which builds use the activation lease).

These terms govern purchases of QueryWell licences (the "Software"). Use of the Software is also governed by the EULA and Privacy Policy.

1. Seller

QueryWell licences are sold directly by Elaman Group Ltd. Single-seat licences can be purchased through Stripe Checkout; Stripe processes the payment but does not replace Elaman Group Ltd as seller or licensor. Team, enterprise, site, branded and scoped purchases are confirmed by quote and invoice. We deliver licence keys and downloads by email after successful payment and state any applicable tax/VAT on the Stripe receipt or invoice.

2. Licences and pricing

The Software is sold as a perpetual licence — paid once and owned outright, with no subscription and no recurring licence fee:

  • QueryWell Studio — £1,200 for one named-user seat or £4,750 for a five-seat team bundle, perpetual.
  • QueryWell Studio + AI — £1,800 for one named-user seat or £7,250 for a five-seat team bundle, perpetual. This tier includes the AI entitlement in the same application; model-provider accounts and usage charges are not included.
  • Enterprise / site — a perpetual site or estate-wide licence for Studio or Studio + AI, quoted to scope.

Each seat is one named operator — a named person, identified by an assigned email address — authorised to run the Software on up to two devices. A five-seat team bundle is issued as five separately assigned named operator seats, not one shared key. Report recipients and readers of exported outputs do not consume a seat.

The perpetual licence you buy does not expire. So that named operator seats and the two-device allowance can be enforced, the Software also holds a technical activation lease — a device-bound authorisation that is renewed periodically over the internet and otherwise works offline (currently a 30-day offline period). Lease expiry can pause licensed operation until it is renewed but never cancels your perpetual licence, and your local data is preserved throughout. First activation, renewal, adding or releasing a device, and operator reassignment require internet access; day-to-day use does not. Builds published on or before the date these Terms were last updated verify the licence key locally and do not yet require an activation lease; we will tell you in the release notes, with reasonable notice, before a build that does is offered as an update. Every licence includes all updates and new versions we publish within twelve (12) months of the purchase date. After that period, updates and new versions are provided under the optional annual support and maintenance plan (SLA) — covering priority support, version upgrades, and onboarding — which may be purchased alongside a licence or later. The SLA is priced at 20% of the then-current licence value per seat per year; the current amounts are shown at https://querywell.app/pricing. The perpetual licence does not depend on the SLA (see the EULA).

A Studio licence may be upgraded to Studio + AI at any time for the difference between the then-current single-seat prices (currently £600), with the original Studio payment credited in full. The upgrade is delivered as a replacement licence key for the same named operator.

Current single-seat prices are shown at https://querywell.app and confirmed in Stripe Checkout before payment. Team, enterprise, site, branded and scoped work is quoted before purchase. Prices may be exclusive of taxes; any applicable taxes are shown at checkout or stated on your invoice. We may change prices prospectively; changes do not affect a licence you have already purchased.

3. Evaluation

A time-limited evaluation licence may be offered so you can trial Studio and the AI Workbench before purchase. Live AI use requires your own supported provider account; the built-in demonstration report does not. An evaluation does not require payment, does not convert automatically into a paid licence, and does not charge any payment method.

4. Payment

The licence fee is a one-time charge. A single-seat licence can be paid through Stripe Checkout using the payment methods offered there. By completing Stripe Checkout, you confirm that you have reviewed and agree to these Terms of Sale, the EULA and the Privacy Policy linked from the checkout notice. Stripe collects and processes payment details under its own privacy policy and terms. Quote-led purchases are payable against our invoice by bank transfer or another method we agree with you. If you also purchase the optional annual support and maintenance plan (SLA), that plan is charged annually and renews each year until you cancel it; you may cancel it at any time, effective at the end of the current SLA year. Cancelling or not renewing the SLA does not affect your perpetual licence.

5. What happens if you stop paying for support

Your perpetual licence is permanent and is not affected if you let the optional SLA lapse. If the SLA ends or is not renewed, you keep using the version(s) you already hold, but you may no longer receive support, or new updates and versions released after the later of your included twelve-month update period and the end of the plan. There is no subscription to "cancel" for the licence itself.

6. Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time purchases. Request a refund by emailing info@elaman-group.com. Refunds are returned to the payment method or account the purchase was made from. Statutory consumer rights to a refund or cancellation, where they apply, are not affected.

7. Licence delivery

After a successful purchase you receive a licence key and your download links by email. Activate the key in the Software to begin use. Seats are governed by the EULA.

8. Support

Support is provided by email at info@elaman-group.com under an active support and maintenance plan (SLA), where purchased. We aim to acknowledge support requests within two business days.

9. Acceptable use and suspension

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of the EULA, non-payment of amounts due, or unlawful use, as set out in the EULA. We administer operator seats on request or where the EULA allows: we can reassign a seat to a different named operator (which releases that seat's devices and requires the new operator to re-activate), release a lost, stolen, or replaced device so a replacement can be activated in its place, suspend a seat, and revoke a licence for material breach or unlawful use. Because an activation lease continues to work offline for up to about 30 days, a suspension or revocation takes effect at the next lease renewal and, at the latest, when the current offline lease expires. Revoking a licence for breach is separate from your perpetual ownership of the versions you have licensed, which ends only on termination under the EULA.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Software is provided under the warranty disclaimers and liability limits in the EULA, which are incorporated here by reference.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections where you reside.
